Boy, 14, pulled over by police while driving his mum's Audi

A 14-year-old boy was stopped by police driving his mum's Audi.

It was 3am in the morning and police said he 'thought about not stopping' when spotted by a GMP Traffic patrol car.

The car did stop - and police said a passenger 'made off'.

It later emerged the teenager 'had taken his mum's car', the police division said.

The Audi - a white A1 - was photographed by police at the scene after it stopped on Warrington Road, Wigan.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday.

GMP said he would be interviewed at a later date (MEN)

GMP Traffic took to Twitter to reveal details.

The boy hasn't been identified, but the car was returned later to his mum.

The force said the teenager was due to be interviewed at a later date.
