Boy, 14, in hospital after collision involving car in Old Trafford

A 14-year-old boy is hospital after being hit by a car in Old Trafford.

The incident happened on Stretford Road at around 6.45pm last night, police said.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The boy has serious but not life-threatening injuries, police added.

No arrests have been made an investigation is ongoing.

"Police were called at around 6.45pm on Sunday 7 February to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Stretford Road, Old Trafford," a spokesperson for GMP said.

"The pedestrian - a 14-year-old boy - was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries."

"The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

"No arrests have been made.

"Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident 2298 of 07/02/2021."
