Boy, 14, arrested for attempted murder along with four other teenagers

A schoolboy, 14, was among five teenagers arrested today during dawn raids after an attempted street execution.

On Monday emergency services were called to Station Road in Prescot to reports of a shooting just before 5pm.

The 17-year-old victim was blasted in the stomach and left bleeding in the street before a passerby reportedly took him to hospital.

The street had to be sealed off as forensics experts combed the area for clues after the shooting which police are treating as an unsuccessful murder bid.

Today Merseyside Police said five teenagers including a 14-year-old boy have all been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police put doors in this morning.

All five have also been arrested suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of a bladed article.
