A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and questioned over a series of linked sexual assaults on women in south-east London during the last month.
Police are investigating six sexual assaults which took place between February 9 and 28 in the Penge area.
They said on each occasion a lone male approached the women before "sexually assaulting them and fleeing".
On Monday night, a 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and was questioned by police.
Officers brought him into custody after being alerted to someone acting suspiciously in the area.
A police spokesman said: "At this time officers are investigating six offences - the first of which was committed on 9 February.
"On each occasion, the women were approached by a lone male who sexually assaulted them before fleeing the scene.
"All of those assaulted are women, none have been injured during the incidents.
"As part of this investigation a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Monday. He has been released under investigation."
Police say the assaults took place in High Street, Evelina Road, Royston Road, Clevedon Road, Franklin Road and by Penge East station.
