Boy, 13, tragically drowns in Bohernabreena reservoir in Dublin

A 13-year-old boy tragically drowned in a reservoir in Dublin on Sunday evening.

The body of a young teenager was recovered from the Bohernabreena reservoir near Dodder Park yesterday.

The alarm was raised just before 5pm after Gardai were told the boy had entered the water but had not resurfaced.

His body was taken from the water a short time later and he was rushed to Crumlin Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Dublin Live reports.

The scene has been examined and the local Coroner's Office has been notified.
