Boy, 13, injured while riding bike in hit-and-run collision

A 13-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run collision while riding his bike in Denton.

Police were called to Thompson Road to reports of a crash involving a car and cyclist on Friday (April 9).

The incident happened in the Dane Bank area just before 3.20pm.

A 13-year-old suffered a minor injury to his foot.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and then drove away.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police using the non-emergency number 101.

A spokesman for GMP said: “Officers were called just before 3.20pm on Friday (9 April 2021) to a report of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist on Thompson Road in Denton.

“A 13-year-old boy suffered a minor foot injury.

“The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and drove away.”
