Boy, 13, had phone stolen by man who 'threatened to stab him' in Swansea park

A young teen had his mobile phone stolen as he walked through a Swansea park, and alleges his attacker threatened to stab him.

The 13-year-old was in Morriston Park during the afternoon of Saturday, January 18, around 2.15pm, when a man asked to borrow a mobile phone, and then refused to hand it back.

The victim, who was with his brother and a friend, claimed on social media that when challenged, the suspect threatened to stab him.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: “When challenged, the suspect made a threatening comment towards the boy who was with his brother and his friend.

“No weapon was seen and no-one was hurt. Inquiries are ongoing”.
