Boy, 13, charged in carjacking in Kenwood: police

A 13-year-old boy was charged in connection with a Nov. 21, 2020, carjacking in Kenwood on the South Side.

The boy is facing a felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, Chicago police said.

He was arrested about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 8100 block of South Kingston Avenue, after being positively identified as the person who carjacked a 33-year-old man in the 4700 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, police said.

He is due in juvenile court Thursday.
