Boy, 13, airlifted to Alder Hey hospital after falling from hotel roof

A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital after falling from a hotel roof.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Albert Road in Blackpool (December 8), before the teenager was flown to Alder Hey.

The circumstances regarding the fall are currently under investigation.

The boy suffered serious head and facial injuries as well as suspected fractures.

He is currently in a serious but stable condition, reports Lancs Live.

A spokesperson for police said: "We were called at around 3.05pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 8th) to reports a teenage boy had fallen from the roof of a hotel on Albert Road, Blackpool.

"Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended and the boy, 13, was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital for treatment.

"He has suffered serious head and facial injuries, as well as a number of suspected fractures and is in a serious but stable condition.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and the HSE has been informed."
