A boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Withington.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Princess Road at around 4.40pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A 12-year-old boy - a pedestrian - was hit by a car, police have confirmed.
He was taken to hospital from the scene.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made following the collision.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 4.40pm on Tuesday 8 December 2020, police were called to a report of a collision on Princess Road, Manchester.
"Officers attended and enquiries established a car and a pedestrian had been in collision.
"The pedestrian – a 12-year-old boy – was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
"No arrests were made."
Crews from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service were also called the scene last night.
A spokesperson from GMFRS said: "At around 4.50 pm, one fire engine from Withington fire station was called to a report of a collision on Princess Road, Withington.
"Firefighters assisted colleagues from North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police at the scene, and were in attendance for just under half an hour.”
There were heavy delays on Princess Road after the crash with one lane blocked on the southbound section of the parkway in Withington.
The collision is believed to have happened just after Whitchurch Road and opposite Hough End Leisure Centre.
