Boy, 12, seriously hurt after falling through roof of swimming baths

A 12-year-old boy has been seriously injured falling through the roof of a swimming baths.

The boy had been seen on the roof at Parr Swimming Baths in St Helens with two other youngsters before he fell last night.

Merseyside Police were called to the scene at around 6.20pm on Sunday.

The boy was taken to hospital with a number of injuries.

Police have confirmed that he is now in a stable condition in hospital, but will have to undergo surgery.
