Boy, 12, missing in Leeds and police need your help to find him

UPDATE: Max has now been found safe and well

Police are appealing for information to help find a missing 12-year-old boy from Leeds.

Max Mapplebeck has disappeared and officers are desperately searching for him across the city so he can come home.

The youngster, who lives in Bramley, is believed to have fled to either Farnley or Lower Wortley.

West Yorkshire Police detectives leading the investigation have said that he was last seen wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms, a white Adidas jumper, a black body warmer and black Nike trainers.

In a statement released this morning (Monday), they said: “Missing - Max Mapplebeck, 12yrs, wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms, a white Adidas jumper, a black body warmer and black Nike trainers.

"Missing from the Bramley area of Leeds. Believed to be in the Farnley / Lower Wortley area."

Anyone with information is being urged to call the force on the non-emergency number, 101, quoting the reference 1848 of Sunday, October 18.
