A 12-year-old boy has been left with serious injuries following a pedestrian accident in South Dublin this afternoon.
The young boy was hit by a car in Tallaght not long after 3pm today.
The youngster was taken to nearby Tallaght Hospital where he is currently being treated for serious injuries.

The incident took place on the Tynan Road area of Dublin 24, not far from Kingswood Luas stop.
An Garda Siochana have confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the serious road traffic collision in the area but they added that "no further information is available at this time".
