Boy, 12, charged for ‘having knife at school’ in Angus

A boy has been charged by cops after allegedly taking a knife into a school in Angus.

Cops were called to a primary school after the 12-year-old pupil was reportedly in possession of a pen knife on Monday.

The schoolboy is said to have kept the blade in his pocket and did not brandish it or use it to threaten anyone at any time.

Although the blade is said to have been a 2.5 inch folding pen knife which would be legal for an adult to possess in a public place, the matter is to be reported to the Youth Justice Assessor.
