Boy, 12, and woman rushed to hospital after horror bike crash in Greenock

A 12-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after a horror bike crash in Greenock.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Lyle Road at around 3.25pm on Friday, October 20, after a bicycle collided with a pedestrian.

The scene remains locked down by officers from Police Scotland after the young boy and a 32-year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment.

The extent of their injuries are currently unknown.

Police Scotland confirmed they were called to the scene on Friday afternoon.

A force spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of an incident involving a bicycle and a pedestrian on Lyle Road, Greenock, around 3.25pm on Friday, 30 October.

"Emergency services attended and a 12-year-old boy and 34-year-old woman were both taken to hospital.

"The road is currently closed."
