A 10-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a car in Glasgow. Emergency services were called to the scene on Dumbarton Road at around 11.40am on Sunday October 2.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the unfolding incident, which took place near Harland Street. Police Scotland have since confirmed that a young boy was hurt.
He has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment however, his current condition is not known. The road has since reopened at around 2pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.40am on Sunday, October 2, police were called to a report of a boy struck by a car on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and the 10-year-old boy was taken by Ambulance to the Royal Hospital for Children."
