A 10-year-old boy was followed on his way home from school.
Gwent Police said at around 3.45pm on Tuesday they received a report of suspicious behaviour on Roman Way in Caerleon , Newport.
Police said the child was approached by a man in a BMW, who got out of the vehicle and followed the boy on foot.
The boy ran away unhurt and the suspect returned to his car and drove off.

A police spokesman said the driver was described as a white male, approximately 35-years-old, tall, and wearing a grey vest and jeans.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are carrying out patrols in the area to reassure the public.
