A 10-year-old boy was bitten twice by a dog which he 'thought was lost' in a park.
Sam Bradley, was playing hide and seek with his friends at Shorefields Nature Park in New Ferry, at around 6.30pm on Saturday, February 26, when he saw a dog running around with no owner in sight.
The 10-year-old, from Wirral, who was staying at a friends house for his birthday, thought the black poodle was lost and went to say hello.

When the dog got closer it bit Sam on his leg before running away. The 10-year-old shouted for his friend at the other side of the park when the dog came and bit him again.
When Sam's mum, Charlotte Bradley, 32, found out about what happened at the park, she said she was "fuming".
She told The ECHO : "When I found out I was fuming, I asked him to tell me exactly what happened when he was at the park and he said he was just playing hide and seek with his friends.
"He said he didn't run up to the dog and it came to him. He thought it was lost and said hello, which was when it went for him.
"I found out on Sunday when he came back from his mates."
Charlotte took her son to the walk in centre, where he was referred to A&E for treatment.
When at the hospital, Sam had an x-ray to check nothing was broken before doctors bandaged up the wound.
Charlotte said her son now has to miss multiple days of school, so the wound doesn't get infected.
Charlotte said: "Sam loves animals and has been brought up around dogs, but now he said he never wants to see, or go near, another dog again.
"I just don't understand why this happened, surely if you know your dog might be aggressive you keep in on a lead or be responsible.
"I wanted to let people know about this, because imagine if it was a toddler or a smaller kid. If I saw that in the paper I wouldn't forgive myself."
Charlotte has spoken to Merseyside Police following the incident, who she says are investigating.
She is now urging anybody who saw what happened at the park to come forward and speak to police.
