The shooting happened just after 4pm in the Bronx on East 153rd Street and Courtland Avenue in the Melrose section.

The victims - three males and two females - were reportedly standing in the street when a gunman opened fire.

Images from the scene show dozens of emergency services vehicles.

Local media say the victims include a 15-year-old boy, a 19-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect or suspects, and no arrests have yet been made.
