Top Rank chief Bob Arum says he is considering the possibility of booking boxing events in Florida this summer using WWE wrestling facilities.

Boxing has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic with every fight scheduled for April and May postponed or moved to another date - with more likely to follow.

The WWE was cleared to resume taping its wrestling events at its Performance Center facility in Orlando after Florida officials deemed it an "essential business," - a move that could clear the way for other sports to return in the state.

And Arum, CEO of Top Rank, says he plans to hold talks with WWE owner Vince McMahon over the possibility of holding boxing events at his Performance Center.

"It's very, very interesting, and we're going to be in touch with them," Arum told ESPN. "There's a possibility to use their facility to maybe do events without a crowd. ... We are very close with Vince and the WWE. So let's see, but we're still not talking before June."

Arum has worked with WWE in recent times with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who is co-promoted by Top Rank, making a series of appearances on Raw and Smackdown shows before taking on Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia last October.
