Boxing news: Eddie Hearn names four men Anthony Joshua could face later this year

Anthony Joshua is fully focused on his June 1 clash with Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden.

But for promoter Eddie Hearn, there is one eye on the future as Joshua looks to huge fights in the future.

With Deontay Wilder talking down the chances of the late 2019 showdown Joshua and his team want, Hearn name dropped four potential contenders to take on the WBA, WBO and IBF champion in November or December.

He touted Tyson Fury as a possible opponent in a huge showdown between two unbeaten British heavyweight superstars, whilst Kubrat Pulev is likely to be in the frame as a mandatory defence for the IBF belt.

Joshua could also face a rematch with Dillian Whyte, provided he sees off unbeaten Oscar Rivas on July 20, whilst Oleksandr Usyk is in contention following his move up to heavyweight.

"It's frustrating because Joshua wants all the big fights, but what can you do? You can just keep winning," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"We saw Usyk got injured and he's out of May 25th, but he will be the mandatory and that's a fight that could happen in December.

"Maybe the Dillian Whyte fight happens in December. He's got to beat Oscar Rivas first.

Fans would love to see a fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury (PA)

"Maybe Josh fights Tyson Fury, maybe he takes the IBF mandatory in Pulev. Anything can happen.

"Really the most important thing for those four heavyweights is to just to win their next fights, because in this division anything can happen. It's all very well talking about future fights. If someone slips up, it's over."

It is likely Joshua will return to the UK for his fight later this year after making his US debut against Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden on June 1.
