Boxing news: Dillian Whyte responds to Tyson Fury challenge with x-rated insult

Dillian Whyte has hit back at Tyson Fury after he threatened to knock his fellow Brit out "within six rounds".

Fury has been linked with a bout with Whyte in a final eliminator to face WBC champion Deontay Wilder - with Fury accepting the challenge provided a WBC diamond belt is on offer.

"I'll take care of Dillian Whyte and I'll knock him out in six rounds," Fury said in a video message on Tuesday.

"I accept the challenge, thank you very much.

"I'll fight Dillian Whyte every day of the week and twice on a Sunday WBC.

"Make it for the diamond belt and not the interim version and you've got yourself a deal."

But Whyte has responded with an x-rated insult and claimed there is no chance Fury would knock him out.

Whyte posted Fury's video message on Twitter , and stated: "When was the last time you knock someone out mate.

"Couldn’t even knock out a w**k", he added.

"I’d fight you anytime anywhere 7 days a week and 5 times on Sunday I look forward to putting you to sleep."

Whyte has grown frustrated at being overlooked by the WBC having been expected to be named mandatory challenger to Wilder only for Dominic Breazeale to get the nod.

Wilder will face Breazeale next weekend whilst Fury is preparing for a June 15 clash with Tom Schwarz he's expected to win comfortably.
