Boxing news: Deontay Wilder reveals what he learned from Tyson Fury fight

Deontay Wilder has promised to take his time before knocking out Dominic Breazeale this weekend.

The heavyweight world champion defends his title for the first time since his controversial draw with Tyson Fury last December.

Wilder knocked Fury down twice - including in the final round - but the Brit twice rose from the canvas.

Fury believed he had still done enough to win the fight, but was denied by the judges.

And Wilder is adamant he won't make the same mistake against Breazeale.

"I learned from the Tyson Fury fight to stay patient," he said. "It was my moment and my time. I wanted to put on a great show and deliver the knockout.

"I rushed but Fury had to be perfect for 12 rounds, I just had to be perfect for two seconds.

"Dominic Breazeale is going to get knocked out in dramatic fashion on Saturday. I can't wait. He's like a fly in my ear. I'm going to get him out of there in a fashion no one has ever seen.

"[He] asked for this. I didn't seek him out. He came for me. This isn't a gentleman's sport. We have bad blood and it'll be in the ring Saturday night."

Wilder, who rejected an offer from streaming service DAZN which would have seen him face Anthony Joshua later this year, added that he was looking forward to fighting in New York.

"I love coming to Brooklyn," he said. "The people here have adopted me. I've had some of my most dramatic knockouts here at Barclays Center. I'm looking forward to adding another one to my resume Saturday night.

"I'm a person who's passionate about what I say and passionate about what I do. I'm the realest champion in the business. I show love everywhere I go. Love is the key to the world."
