Boxing headlines as Tyson Fury next fight confirmed and Jake Paul trolls Tommy Fury

Your boxing headlines from MEN Sport on Thursday, November 11.

WBC to order Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte

The WBC is expected to officially mandate Tyson Fury to defend his heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte next week.

Fury retained his crown with a knockout victory over Deontay Wilder in last month's trilogy bout, which kickstarted a 30-day window for a unification bout to be agreed.

However, that was never going to be fulfilled due to Anthony Joshua's defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, with Joshua enacting his rematch clause.

It means any potential heavyweight unification bout would be delayed until later next year at the earliest, depending on the heavyweight picture.

With Joshua vs Usyk 2 going ahead, Fury's future is in the hands of the WBC and they are expected to order him to face mandatory challenger Whyte.

Jake Paul mocks Fury accent in trolling message

Jake Paul has once again openly mocked Tommy and Tyson Fury ahead of his fight with younger brother Tommy next month.

The two will meet in the ring on December 18 in Tampa, Florida after they both fought on the same card in August, when Paul defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, with Fury defeating Paul's sparring partner, Anthony Taylor.

Tyson has confirmed will be in Tommy’s corner and has now started his training with his brother in England.

Training started this week with Tyson taking to his social media pages to post a video with Tommy.

The two have continued to share footage of their vigorous training sessions as they prepare to fly out the United States.

In one of the videos, Tyson used a medicine ball on Tommy's abs, to which Paul has now responded with a video of his own - doing the same exercise whilst putting on Tyson's accent.

Amir Khan disputes Kell Book contract comments and gives fight update

Amir Khan has disputed Kell Brook’s claims that he has signed a contract for the pair to finally face each other in the ring.

A bout between the two has been teased for years, although no agreement has ever been reached as discussions have gone back and forth.

A long-awaited bout appears to be getting close though, with Brook saying he has signed a contract to take on Khan in what he has described as “the biggest fight in British boxing”.

According to reports, the pair had provisionally agreed to face each other on December 4 before talks broke down, and will be set to go head-to-head at the Manchester Arena next year.
