Boxing Day swimmers pack Ayr beach for sea dip in freezing weather conditions

Swimmers have paked Ayr beach for a Boxing Day dip in the sea during freezing weather conditions

The brave group braced the icy water for charity in a bid to raise cash for Ayrshire Cancer Support this morning.

Scots were seen diving into the ocean in Christmas onesies and swimming trunks with temperatures at just four degrees.

The beach was flooded as locals dunked themselves underwater to secure more funding for cancer services.

Ayrshire Cancer Support said: “Ayrshire’s Boxing Day Dip, raising funds for children, young people and adults affected by cancer, is went ahead.

“Big thank you to everyone who took part in Ayrshire’s Boxing Day Dip at Ayr Beach.
