It's Christmas Day, and while it will hopefully be a fun day for everyone, we will be in the infamous limbo that is Boxing Day.
December 26 falls on a Monday this year and is often spent relaxing with loved ones as it is a bank holiday. But where can you go if you need to pop out for some milk?
Many stores will operate on reduced hours and in some cases will close on Boxing day. Because of this, it's important to know if your local branch is open before heading out into the wintery weather.
Here are leading stores' plans for 2022, covering Christmas Day itself and Boxing day - including opening hours for those which will be seeing customers.

Aldi
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day Aldi stores will close.
It will reopen on December 27 from 8am until 8pm.

Lidl
Lidl is also altering its opening times this Christmas period and will be closing on Christmas Day.
Lidl will be open on Boxing Day, operating on reduced hours of 10am-4pm.

Morrisons
Morrisons will close on Christmas Day before reopening on Boxing Day from 9am-6pm.

Sainsbury's
The vast majority of Sainsbury's supermarkets will be open between 10am and 5pm on Boxing Day, and convenience stores will be open from 9am to 9pm.

Asda
Asda will close on Christmas Day.
The Big Four supermarket will reopen on Boxing Day from 10am-4pm.

Tesco
Tesco will keep its doors open on Boxing Day, however hours can vary depending on the branch. The supermarket will be closed on Christmas Day.

Marks and Spencer
M&S will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year.

Waitrose
Like M&S, Waitrose stores will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day with the exception of their Break motorway service stations and Shell forecourts.
