With new Tier 4 restrictions in place across the UK many non essential stores will be closed on Boxing Day.
Shoppers are tipped to spend £1bn today as high street chains launch Boxing Day sales early. Retailer opening times will vary depending on location, with many stores in England and Wales only open for click and collect.
Essential retailer Boots will be open across the UK, while non-essential stores like Argos, Currys and Next in some areas will be shut.

Boxing Day 2020 opening times for Boots, Next, Currys and IKEA
Boots

Boots stores remain open for essentials only. However, shoppers can still pick up non-essential items and sale deals online at Boots.com. The huge end of year sale features up to 50% off beauty, fragrance and electricals

Argos

All Argos stores will be closed on Christmas Day, but on Boxing Day both standalone stores and those within Sainsbury's in some regions will be open from 10am to 5pm.
Most stores in England and Wales will only be open for collection of pre-paid online orders, but you can shop all sale deals online.

Currys PC World

In most parts of England and Wales hundreds of Curry stores are only open for “Zero Contact” order and collect purchases made on Currys.co.uk.
Currys kicked off its end of year sale early, with up to 60% off on top brands like Apple, Sony and Samsung from today. Shoppers can browse all the deals online.

IKEA

Along with other non-essential stores IKEA is closed. However the homeware retailer is open for click and collect from all our stores except Belfast. You can check store details by heading to ikea.com.
The retailer has also kicked off its Boxing Day sale online, with limited offers running until 17 January.
