Boxing Day 2019 supermarket opening times including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Lidl

With the the big day over it's entirely possible you may have overindulged and woken up on Boxing Day morning to the realisation you've run of of the essentials.

But whether the fridge is bare or you just can't stand the thought of any more left over turkey , it's worth knowing which shops are open and whether there's one near enough for you to simply slip a coat on over your onesie and venture out.

Here's a list of all the supermarkets doing business on Thursday, December 26.

Tesco

Most of Tesco’s large supermarkets will open from 9am-6pm on Boxing Day, while some of Tesco Express stores will open from 8am-10pm.

Most branches will re-open today with reduced hours running from 9am-6pm.

Aldi slashed the price of some food items by 50% (Anthony Devlin/PA Wire)

All Aldi stores in Wales will be closed. They'll reopen on Friday December 27 at 8am.

Lidl

Also closed - but back to normal (8am opening) on December 27.

Waitrose

Customers have been told to return the chocolate bars (South Wales Echo)

Waitrose wll be closed, reopening on December 27 from 7.30am.
