Boxer Tsukimi Namiki lost to Stoyka Zhelyazkova Krasteva of Bulgaria in the semifinals of the women's flyweight division (51 kilograms or lighter) at the Tokyo Olympics, earning a bronze medal on Wednesday, as there is no third-place bout between the semifinal losers in boxing.

Namiki lost 5-0 on points.

The bout was a showdown of lefties. Namiki, who is more than 10 centimeters shorter than Krasteva, tried to move in tight to deliver blows to the Bulgarian. However, numerous times Krasteva landed punches before Namiki could get her attempts off, and that helped the Bulgarian rack up points.
