Northern powerhouse Box Bar is opening London’s biggest sports bar next month after a multi-million pound cash injection.
Box Piccadilly will comprise three floors of sports, games, music, food and late night partying, the Standard was told, with room for 550 guests across 7,200 square feet of space.
The brand is already established in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham, and will launch in London on October 24 backed by an investment of £4 million.
Box said it has built a reputation for creating places “where live sport meets unforgettable nights out” and said its venue in the capital is set to become the flagship.
The company said the central London location will feature more than 30 screens and giant displays, while an entire floor will be dedicated to live sport.
Evenings will bring live DJs, musicians, and games such as shuffleboard and electric darts, as well as Box’s “bandeoke” which invites singers to perform with a full live band.
As for food and drink, expect draught beers, cocktails, burgers and Neapolitan-style pizzas, as well as a bottomless brunch option at the weekend.

Box Piccadilly will open on Shaftesbury Avenue on October 24. It will open until 11.30 Monday to Thursday and midnight on weekends. theboxbar.co.uk
