At some point, one of these teams with the offensive-minded head coach will break out.
Bowling Green scored just seven points in its last two games, but it’s a whole lot better than that. Kent State has the nation’s fifth-worst offense, but it has the upside to be a whole lot better than that.
For all of Bowling Green’s issues, it’s doing a strong job in pass protection and does a wonderful job of getting into the backfield. The Golden Flash run defense can’t stop anyone from running the ball – Bowling Green has to give it a shot – but the other side of the ball will finally work.
The FlashFast offense will do just enough to take over the game in the second half after a slew of empty drives in the first half. Bowling Green’s defense will keep this close with plenty of plays behind the line, but at home, Kent State will hang on late to pull this off on a late field goal in an entertaining battle.
