Bowling alley gets glow-in-the-dark makeover... as Olympic champ Usain Bolt pays second visit

Superstar sprinter Usain Bolt returned to Manchester last weekend to fire another strike down the bowling lane.

The Olympic hero visited Lane7 Manchester on November 21, a neon-lovers paradise just off Deansgate.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist had previously scored a strike on his last trip to the bowling alley last month.

He signed one of the ten pins as a memento of his second visit.

Lane7 first popped up in the site left empty by All Star Lanes, which closed for good in the summer of 2020.

Brand new photos of the venue show its most recent UV and Neon ‘Glow-up’.

Visitors can expect to bowl one of the 11 lanes among strips of colourful neon lights, or take part in karaoke, play arcade games or grab a burger.

After opening its doors during the lockdown, Lane7 has also just unveiled its brand new ‘Red Room'.

Usain Bolt was among one of the first to rent out the space on Sunday, complete with private access to a bar, pool table and ping pong table.

A video shared by the venue shows him enjoying a game of bowling with friends.

The site is also the home of Fat Hippo 's first Manchester restaurant, a burger joint already well-established across the North East as well as in Sheffield, Nottingham and Leeds.

It has also recently introduced new graffiti karaoke rooms which can comfortably fit up to 14 people - perfect for a fun sing along session to some Christmas tracks.

There are still some Christmas dates available for booths, ball games or bowling.
