The point was a blow to Bournemouth in their bid to qualify for Europe next season but gives United a lift going into the first leg against Bilbao. Antoine Semenyo has given Bournemouth first-half lead but United produced another late show. Follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog.

1 min: Underway at the Vitality…

13:56 , Giuseppe Muro

Here come the two teams...

13:54 , Giuseppe Muro

Only the bottom three and Tottenham have accrued fewer Premier League away points this season than Manchester United, who have 17 on the road.

Can they improve that record today? Kick-off is on the way at a sunny Vitality…

13:47 , Giuseppe Muro

Gary Neville believes Ruben Amorim could start to come under pressure a few months into next season.

Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of kick-off, Amorim said: “October, or November next year, three months into the new season and having had a transfer window and a full pre-season, getting the players in to suit that system.

“That's when they can't be anywhere near where they are now.

“They'll have to be pushing into the top six. There'll be a big overhaul of players to get the ones he wants."

13:39 , Giuseppe Muro

Ruben Amorim has said he wants to see “intensity” from Manchester United today.

Asked what he expects this afternoon, Amorim told Sky Sports: "Intensity, we need to be focused because if you look at the last games, and you take away Newcastle because of the context between the Lyon games.

“In Nottingham [at Forest] we had control but we lost the match through one set-piece, we lost to Wolves because we missed big chances and again through set-pieces.

“We need to be focused in the game and we need to improve our intensity, not just because of this game but because Bilbao is also going to be very intense.

“We will face a Spanish coach in same system, so we can use everything to win games in the Premier League and prepare for the next one."

13:31 , Giuseppe Muro

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is expecting to face the "best" Manchester United team.

United head to the Vitality Stadium with one eye on next week's crucial Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Bilbao.

Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim made several changes to his side for their previous Premier League game, which ended in a 1-0 home defeat by Wolves, when academy defender Tyler Fredricson was handed his first start.

Amorim could again rotate the squad against the Cherries, who are still chasing European qualification via the league table.

Iraola, though, insists his focus will be fully on his own team, who won 3-0 at Old Trafford in December.

"They don't change their structure a lot (since that game). They are trying to find the best spots for every player," the Bournemouth boss said at a press conference.

"For sure, he (Amorim) is more familiarised than when we faced them there. I think when we played them the game was quite level, it was not a 3-0 game.

"I expect also a tight game. I hope we can win it, we can make the difference, but it is a team that normally defends quite well, doesn't give you a lot of chances.

"I know they have the game on Thursday in the Europa League but they have four days to rest, so we have been preparing against the best Man United team."

13:27 , Giuseppe Muro

Ruben Amorim has been speaking to Sky Sports ahead of kick-off and the Manchester United boss has explained his decision to start Luke Shaw.

Amorim said: “He [Luke Shaw] is going to start in the back three, but that is not a clear back three, so you will see during the game I think it is the best position for him at the moment.

“We have to take a little bit of a risk there because we have to manage all of the players, because of the problem we have without [Diogo] Dalot.

“We have to play with different characteristics but to play here, like him and Mason Mount, they will improve the team a lot."

Schmeichel backs ‘very talented’ Hojlund to succeed at Man Utd

13:23 , Giuseppe Muro

Rasmus Hojlund starts for Manchester United today and Peter Schmeichel is convinced the striker has the talent and mental toughness to come through his challenging spell at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils went for potential over a proven asset when signing the highly-rated Denmark striker from Atalanta in July 2023 in a £64million deal that could reach £72million with add-ons.

Hojlund showed promising flashes during his first season but has stuttered this term, with the 22-year-old scoring just once in his last 28 club appearances in all competitions.

Schmeichel knows the pressures that come with playing for United as well as anyone and has helped support his compatriot since moving to Old Trafford, where he is certain Hojlund will prove his worth.

"The boy is very, very talented," the former goalkeeper told the PA news agency ahead of United's Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.

"He's like every other player in that squad - of course short of confidence. Everyone. This is the big thing. Once you don't win games, the confidence levels drop so it's been a tough one.

"I mean, he will come through it. He's so strong mentally. He will come through it. He's got really, really good support from his family as well and I know what he can do.

"Hopefully there's a bit of success left in this team, and you bring that into your break, you come back in a different frame of mind, new season.

"I'm convinced that he's still a very, very valuable player for Manchester United."

Here’s Ruben Amorim arriving at the Vitality...

13:04 , Giuseppe Muro

Manchester United are attempting to end the season on a high despite a lack of goalscoring outlets due to injuries and poor form.

That has raised questions about the decisions to allow Marcus Rashford and Antony to leave on loan during the winter, given the forwards' impressive stints away.

Ruben Amorim said this week: ”Big teams, when you get in one context it's really hard.

"And then I understand that in January, and you are talking about Rashford and Antony, we lost these players and we didn't bring new ones.

"It was a risk, but I think that there are things here that are more important than to score 10 more goals this season.

"We are trying to do something that is more important. We can hurt the squad now, but in the future it's going to help the club so I think we are in that path."

13:00 , Giuseppe Muro

Andoni Iraola names the same Bournemouth team that started their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend.

12:57

So Luke Shaw makes his first Manchester United start in 14 months.

Ruben Amorim has made five changes from last weekend’s defeat to Wolves, with Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro back in defence and Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro returning in midfield.

Tyler Fredricson and Chido Odi are on the bench.

Amorim has ‘no regrets’ about Man Utd move

12:30 , Giuseppe Muro

Ruben Amorim says he has "no regrets at all" about joining Manchester United - but admits a problem period four months ago had him questioning whether he should have pushed harder to delay his arrival.

Erik ten Hag's successor has endured a difficult time since taking charge in November, with the Red Devils entering the weekend 14th in the standings having managed just six Premier League wins under the Portuguese.

The Europa League is keeping United's worst-ever Premier League season alive, with Amorim leading the side into Thursday's semi-final first leg at Athletic Bilbao on the back of Sunday's trip to Bournemouth.

The Cherries won December's reverse fixture 3-0 at Old Trafford during a particularly sticky patch for Amorim, who had told the United hierarchy during initial talks over the job that he would prefer to complete the season with Portuguese champions Sporting before taking charge.

"No regrets, not in this moment," he said when asked about the scale of the job he has taken on.

"If you asked me like four months ago with all the problems, maybe you feel that feeling I should be stronger in starting in the beginning of the (next) season.

"But today I have a feeling that this is something that is going to help us in the future. We are suffering a lot here. There was a lot of frustration, a lot of suffering.

"But I feel in this moment - maybe because it's near the end (of the season) - this is the most important time maybe in the next few years.

"We are going to use all the information to prepare better the next few years, so no regrets. I think this is the top of what a coach can achieve, so I have no regrets at all."

Bournemouth vs Man United stats

12:22 , Giuseppe Muro

- Bournemouth have hit the post 21 times in the top flight this season, a joint high with Liverpool.

- Only Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have had more shots this season than Bournemouth, who have registered 526 attempts.

- Defeat would mark the first time that Manchester United have lost 16 times in a Premier League campaign. They last lost that many league matches in a season in 1989-90, when they were also beaten on 16 occasions.

Bournemouth could become the sixth side this season to complete the league double over Manchester United, which would be the most against the Red Devils in a single campaign since 1933-34, and the highest in the top flight since nine in 1930-31.
