Team news

Josh King has been nursing an ankle problem that ruled him out of Saturday’s victory over Fulham and Tuesday’s EFL Cup clash with Norwich City. The striker is likely to be assessed later on in the week.

Marouane Fellaini meanwhile is expected to be in contention once again after missing games against Chelsea, Juventus and Everton through injury.

Antonio Valencia has also been a notable absentee from the starting XI with Jose Mourinho explaining “a complicated surgery on his mouth” has prevented him from playing.

The captain has not featured since the goalless draw with Valencia on 2 October.

Head to head

This will be just the 15th meeting between these two sides with United winning nine of those.

The Cherries have just two wins to their name; one back in 1984 and the other in 2015 during Louis van Gaal's reign in charge at Old Trafford.
