Bournemouth vs Man City LIVE: Stream, latest score and goal updates from the Premier League

Follow live updates below as Manchester City travel to Bournemouth hoping to return to winning ways following their draw with Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

With Liverpool beating Arsenal so convincingly yesterday and seemingly in the groove, a little pressure is already on City to keep pace and make sure they don't slip up here.

The Cherries have made a good start to their campaign, earning a draw against Sheffield United and a win over Aston Villa, but face their toughest test yet. Follow it live:

Hello! Welcome along to the first Premier League game of this Sunday afternoon and it should be a fun one: Bournemouth have made a promising start to their campaign with four points from their first two games, and they are likely to try and take a chance against the champions – what have they got to lose? Manchester City will have seen Liverpool's ominous dismantling of Arsenal yesterday and know that there is already a little bit of pressure to make sure they don't slip up here. We'll have all the build-up and team news from the Vitality Stadium shortly...
One of the finest imports the Premier League has had the fortune of seeing, David Silva will make his 400th appearance for Manchester City this afternoon, assuming he plays a part against Bournemouth.

But manager Pep Guardiola has admitted he wasn't sure his compatriot would succeed in English football:

Guardiola had something of a to-do with Sergio Aguero after substituting the striker in the second half of Manchester City's frustrating draw with Tottenham last weekend.

He insisted after the game that it was nothing more than a misunderstanding. Will Aguero start today?

Squad news

Some good news for Bournemouth is that Lewis Cook is back in training following a long-term knee injury but he won't be fit for a return today.

Also out for the Cherries are David Brooks, Arnaut Danjuma, Dan Gosling, Simon Francis, Lloyd Kelly and Junior Stanislas.

Man City's Oleksandr Zinchenko had cramp in the match against Tottenham but is fit to play today.

John Stones' rehabilitation is coming along for his thigh injury but he will not be featured. Neither will Leroy Sane or Benjamin Mendy.

The head-to-head statistics aren't good reading for Bournemouth.

Manchester City are unbeaten in all 14 meetings with Bournemouth and have scored 25 goals against them in eight Premier League matches.

The Cherries have only scored one goal at home in that time, a Charlie Daniels wonder goal in the 2-1 home defeat in the 2017-18 season.

Bournemouth have only avoided defeat in one of their seven home games against City, a goalless draw in the third tier 20 years ago.

    Can things change today?

David Silva will lead Manchester City out on his 400th appearance for the club. He replaces Rodri in mid-field as the only change Pep Guardiola makes to his starting XI.

Eddie Howe also makes one change for the home side, Chris Mepham comes back into the defence replacing Harry Wilson who scored on debut in the last match.

    BREAKING NEWS
Jesus is out for Man City!
    Pep Guardiola on David Silva:

"He is one of the most incredible intelligent players in the small spaces. He is one of the best I've ever known.

"It's not just the quality, he's a huge competitor in the training matches. The Premier League is not easy, and he did it. He must be so proud."

Bournemouth's bogeyman, Raheem Sterling, returns to the Vitality Stadium today. He is on a run of scoring in four consecutive club appearances for Manchester City.

The first time he has done so in his career.

Against Bournemouth, Sterling has scored eight goals and had two assists in just seven league appearances.

Eddie Howe had this to say about Sterling: "Raheem Sterling has done well against us in recent seasons, he's an outstanding talent.

"You look through their team and they've got so much quality so we'll have plenty of players to keep quiet.

"A big thing for us will be the crowd. The players bounce off the crowd and we're really hopeful of a good atmosphere to help us on Sunday."

Ryan Fraser thinks Bournemouth can cause an upset today, history is against them but football can be crazy sometimes:

A great gesture from Bournemouth today.

It's boiling hot at the seaside, there's barely a cloud in the sky and the sun is beating down on the ground.

The home side are handing out free ice creams to the fans, Cherry flavoured of course.

A small bit of hope for Bournemouth?

The Cherries' tense and entertaining win over Tottenham in the final home game of the season last year means they have recorded Premier League victories over Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea at the Vitality Stadium.

Only Manchester City have alluded them from collecting home victories against the whole 'Big Six'. Can they do it today?

Eddie Howe knows how tough a challenge Man City pose to his side, can they pull off an upset?
Ten minutes to go until kick off, everything says this should be a regulation win for Man City but can Bournemouth surprise them?
Here come the teams, David Silva leads out Manchester City on his 400th appearance for the club.

De Bruyne challenges Nathan Ake who has the ball, Kyle Walker comes sliding in and takes out the Bournemouth man. Walker's lucky not to get booked for that challenge.

    Bournemouth 0 - 0 Man City

9 mins: Man City win themselves a corner that Kevin De Bruyne takes. He finds Laporte at the near post who helps the ball on into the middle of the six yard box. Ramsdale is first to the ball and he punches it away.

    Prediction

Bournemouth 1-4 Manchester City: The champions are an exceptional team and there is no reason to doubt them here.
