Bournemouth v Cardiff City kick-off time, live stream info and team news

Cardiff City head to Bournemouth on Wednesday night with Mick McCarthy hopeful of winning his sixth game on the bounce.

It will be a tough ask for City, but a win could catapult them into the play-off places, somewhere no Cardiff fan expected to be just a few short weeks ago.

Here is everything you need to know about the clash.

What time is Bournemouth v Cardiff City kick-off?

Bournemouth v Cardiff City kicks off at 7.45pm on Wednesday, February 24.

Is it on TV?

Yes, the game will be shown on Sky Sports Football's red button option.

What about live streaming?

Cardiff City will be streaming the game live on their website and match passes for those viewing in the UK can be bought here for £10.

What is the latest team news?

Cardiff City welcome back Junior Hoilett after he missed three games with a calf problem.

The Bluebirds winger will bolster a squad which already saw the returns of Jonny Williams and Sheyi Ojo on the weekend for the win over Preston North End.

Jordi Osei-Tutu is still a few weeks away, with Mick McCarthy on Tuesday revealing that there was a target for him to return to the fray on the week starting March 8.

However, there is more positive news regarding Lee Tomlin, who started his second under-23s game in the space of a week against Bristol City on Tuesday afternoon. He shouldn't be too far away from the first team now.

Isaac Vassell remains the long-term absentee, of course.

For the Cherries, Arnaut Danjuma remains a fitness doubt, while Steve Cook, Jack Stacey and Dominic Solanke have all been ruled out.

What are the latest betting odds?

  • Bournemouth win - 6/5
  • Draw - 23/10
  • Cardiff win - 12/5

What have the managers said?

Cardiff City manager Mick McCarthy: "I've got the team in front of me here. It’s a very, very good squad of players they have got.

"They started really well and just had a bit of a blip. But they've been winning games, Jonathan has had some good results.

"Apparently not played well, who is bothered? You win games.

"I know that being in the top six, that brings pressure because you don’t want to drop out of it. For the rest of us chasing, you just try and get results and hope you get in there. When you get in there, then that's when the pressure comes.

"But that’s a really good squad of players."

Bournemouth manager Jonathan Woodgate: "We have two very difficult games against Cardiff, who are on a big run, and Watford, who are up near the top of the table as well.

"Every game in this Championship is so difficult and Wednesday and Saturday will be very difficult.

"You want games coming thick and fast and that's what we have got now.

"You can't spend a lot of time on the training pitch because of fatigue and stuff like that, but you are playing three games a week so it is great for players."
