Bournemouth have slashed their asking price for striker Josh King, according to reports.
Manchester United have just four days left to salvage their transfer window after only making the single signing of Donny van de Beek so far this summer.
It's understood that the club remain in talks to bring more recruits to Old Trafford before the October 5 deadline. Negotiations remain open with Porto over the transfer of Alex Telles and a new right winger remains a priority, be it top target Jadon Sancho or a short-term alternative.
As deadline day looms ever closer transfer rumours will continue to grow sillier and United have been repeatedly touted to be in for a new striker in recent days, though it's understood one isn't on the agenda.
The latest to once again be linked is King, who United did attempt to sign in January before the deal was blocked by his club and they signed Odion Ighalo instead.
According to The Sun, via SportsMole, the Cherries have been keen to keep hold of King this summer as they look for an instant return to the Premier League, even though he only has a year remaining on his contract.
But, it's reported, their stance has since softened and they would now be willing to accept a bid for the Norwegian for as little as £10million.
King has put his disappointment at being unable to move to United on record but, M.E.N. Sport understands that the club are unlikely to make a bid for the 28-year-old this summer. Tottenham Hotspur have also been heavily linked.
Meanwhile, United have reportedly not made an offer for Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan is without a club after leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer and was linked with a move to United back in January.
Goal report United have not made an approach for the forward yet and it's understood that they almost certainly won't do.
