Bournemouth ready to enter Danny Rose transfer race to save their season

Bournemouth are ready to enter the race for Danny Rose.

The south coast side are targeting end-of-window signings as they bid to build on their win over Brighton on Tuesday night.

Watford and Newcastle are already in the hunt for Rose with the England left-back having lost his place under Jose Mourinho.

Mirror Sport revealed last summer that the Hornets had had a bid for Rose rejected. At the time the Hertfordshire club were the only one to come in for him but they are now among several interested.

Newcastle are also keen after the 29-year-old was left out of the squad for a third consecutive match, Wednesday night's 2-1 win over Norwich.

Steve Bruce is facing a crisis at left-back, with both Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett sidelined for the rest of the season. Spurs would be prepared to do a deal this month at the right price.

Mourinho had denied having an altercation with Rose over his exclusion for Saturday's draw at Watford. But the Spurs boss has also suggested his first choice left-back, when fit, will be Ben Davies.

Rising stars Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon have also filled in there.

Rose has previously claimed he will not quit Spurs until his contract expires in the summer of 2021.

Last November he said: "In January, you are probably going to hear something [about my future]. I'm telling you right now that I'm not going anywhere until my contract is finished."

But he could now have no option should he want to play regularly during the second half of the season.
