Bournemouth injury news for Liverpool in full including Jefferson Lerma latest

Liverpool will have several players sidelined with injury for today’s trip to Bournemouth.

The Reds travel to the south coast to take on the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium (12.30pm). Victory will see Liverpool move up to fourth on goal difference above Tottenham Hotspur, who host Nottingham Forest later this afternoon (3pm).

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have to deal with some of his players being unavailable. Luis Diaz, Thiago Alcantara and Joe Gomez are all still recovering from their injuries, but could return after the international break.

Calvin Ramsay is a long-term absentee, and is not set to play for the remainder of the season. But what about Bournemouth?

Here is a look at the Cherries' full injury list and suspensions ahead of the game with the Reds.

Jefferson Lerma injury latest - is he fit to face Liverpool?

Jefferson Lerma could be unavailable to face Liverpool, with Bournemouth sweating over the fitness of the midfielder.

Lerma was absent for the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal last weekend, which was the first match that he’s missed this season. As a result, the Cherries are waiting to see if the midfielder will recover in time to face the Reds.

In his press conference on Friday, Bounemouth boss Gary O’Neil said that a decision is yet to be made over whether Lerma will be involved against Liverpool.

“Jeff’s touch and go,” said O’Neil. “He’s not done as much as you would have liked but he’s further along than the others so we will make a call on him tomorrow.

Other Bournemouth injury news

Bournemouth have several other injury concerns to deal with for the visit of Liverpool.

Lloyd Kelly, Illya Zabarnyi, Matias Vina, David Brooks, Marcus Tavernier, Junior Stanislas and Hamed Traore all missed last weekend’s defeat to Arsenal. It remains to be seen whether any of the players will have recovered in time to play a part against the Reds.

Lewis Cook made his return from a knee injury against Arsenal, having been sidelined since January and missed the previous five matches.

“Lewis Cook is back so it’s good to have him,” said O’Neil on Friday. “The rest should be fairly similar to where we were last week.”

Suspended

Bournemouth currently have no players that are suspended after receiving either a straight red card or a second yellow card.

Liverpool also have no players currently on the sidelines due to suspension in the Premier League. For the Champions League, only Trent Alexander-Arnold is at risk of a one-match ban were he to pick up a booking in the second leg against Real Madrid next week.
