Bournemouth have goalkeeper concern ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic faces playing against Nottingham Forest while carrying an injury.

The 33-year-old is first-choice between the posts for the Cherries and is likely to be fit for tomorrow’s City Ground clash, but he is having to manage an ongoing problem.

As a precaution, Bournemouth recalled stopper Mark Travers from his loan spell at Swindon Town earlier in the week.

GARIBALDI RED: Who should play up front for Forest against Bournemouth?

Caretaker boss Jonathan Woodgate told the club’s official website: "We're managing the situation with an injury that Asmir has.

"I thought it was important that we brought backup in with experience in that role, and Travs has that.

"He's had a good loan so he'll be sharp enough, so we're just managing Asmir's injury at the minute, he'll be okay."

If he does get the green light, Begovic will come up against a Reds side looking to make it three wins in a row after seeing off Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers.

Forest manager Chris Hughton may well have a selection dilemma over who starts up front, however.

Lewis Grabban missed last weekend’s victory at Adams Park with a hamstring issue but will hope to be fit, while Glenn Murray will be looking to keep his place after netting a brace.

Tomorrow’s visitors do have several of their players sidelined, with Dominic Solanke, Jack Stacey and Rodrigo Riquelme out of action.

"Dom's going to be another four or five weeks, originally it could have been a bit longer. I don't want to push players on injuries, I want them back when they're 100 percent and can last the full season," Woodgate said.

"Jack Stacey's going to be two to three weeks with a thigh strain so again we'll take our time and get him 100 percent right.

"Riquelme has a slight groin issue and hopefully he should be fit on Monday."
