Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe preparing for Newcastle United clash as usual despite coronavirus fears

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists it is business as usual in terms of preparing for their next Premier League clash against Newcastle.

As things stand, the Premier League is scheduled to resume on April 4 when the Magpies make the long journey south to the Vitality Stadium.

However the government's chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, is estimating the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in the UK could be between 10 and 14 weeks away meaning there could be further delays to the current league season.

Nonetheless, Howe insists he will continue to prepare his side as if the game is going ahead.

“My plans are pretty normal bar the taking of the training sessions (until Monday),” Howe told AFCBTV with his side currently self-isolating after goalkeeper Artur Boruc tested positive for Covid-19.
“So it’s to prepare for our next game, which is Newcastle.
“To try and get plans in place for events that may follow ahead of us.
“So just to try and make sure we are not caught short depending on what scenario unfolds.”
