Bounds Green stabbing: Teenager fighting for life after being knifed in north London street

A teenager is fighting for life after he was knifed in a north London street.

Police officers and paramedics raced to Bounds Green Road at the junction with Nightingale Road at 9.30pm on Friday night, after receiving reports of a man stabbed.

Once there, paramedics battled to help the 19-year-old, who was suffering from a single stab wound.

The teenager has been taken to hospital, where his condition has been described as life threatening.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “He received treatment at the scene before being taken to a central London hospital where his condition remains life-threatening.

“No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue and a crime scene remains in place”.

The violent attack comes one day after a 15-year-old schoolboy was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting, in Newham.

Shots were fired from a car on Harcourt Road, just after 5.30pm on Thursday.

Scotland Yard said officers found a torched car in nearby Chesterton Road less than ten minutes later.
