Bouncer raced to hospital after being stabbed multiple times outside west Dublin nightclub

A doorman was raced to hospital after he was stabbed several times outside a west Dublin nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The bouncer was working at Buzz nightclub in the Red Cow complex when he was attacked shortly after midnight.

It's understood the victim, who is in his 30s, was stabbed up to three times in the assault.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his injuries were described as not life threatening.

Gardai are continuing their investigations into the attack.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating an assault incident that occurred at a licensed premises in the Naas Road area of Dublin 22 on 9/11/19 at approximately 12:15am.

"A man in his 30s received stab type wounds and was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

"Investigations are continuing. No arrests have been made."
