Everyone and their dug has been trying their hand - or foot - at the viral bottle cap challenge since it flooded the internet in late June.
The craze was started by a martial arts expert who managed to unscrew a bottle's lid using a well-aimed roundhouse kick.
Now a group of lads in Wishaw have given it a go in the most Scottish way ever - and the results are hilarious.
A video posted online shows the group attempted to knock the lid off of a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 .
One holds the yellow fortified wine while another swings a kick.
But instead of taking the top off he connects with the middle, sending it flying into the groin of his pal lying on the couch filming his attempt.
Everyone then falls about in fits of laughter at their mate's expense.
The clip has been shared 1,500 times and received 9,000 likes since being posted on Twitter on Friday evening.
And social media users couldn't get enough of the footage.
Ben Walker said: "Respect the mad dog and the mad dog will respect you."
And Scottish boxer Scott Allan wrote: "This is brilliant the speed in your kick is phenomenal".
While @Hamillyabass commented: "This is the real winner, suck it Statham."
Their effort was a far cry from Hollywood hardman Jason Statham who nailed the challenge on Instagram.
The action film actor sends the lid flying with one smooth sweep of his right leg before calling out director Guy Ritchie and UFC fighter James Moontasri.
Other people to give the challenge a spin include A-listers Mariah Carey, John Mayer and Ryan Reynolds.
