Bothwell woman jailed for assault and road traffic charges

A Bothwell woman has been jailed for a year on assault and road traffic charges.

Stephanie Watson, 28, of St Bride’s Way, was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

She admitted that, while acting with another woman, she punched Kenneth Watson repeatedly on the head and body, and spat at him repeatedly.

The assault happened in Muir Street, Motherwell, on April 7.

Watson also admitted driving while disqualified that day and again in Bothwell on June 20, giving police false details and offending while on bail.

As well as being jailed, she was banned from driving for a year.
