Bothwell man was caught with swords at popular park

A Bothwell man caught with two swords at Strathclyde Park has avoided a prison sentence.

Christopher MacDonald, 26, of Burleigh Road, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week. He admitted unlawful possession of the swords in the Beach Car Park on December 11.

MacDonald was placed under supervision for 12 months and ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid community work.
