A major crash has shut both lanes of the M77 motorway between Ayrshire and Glasgow this lunchtime.
The incident occurred at around 12.10pm at St Martins between J5 Maidenhill and J6 Kingswell.
Police Scotland have sent a large emergency response to the scene and have closed both lanes following the collision.
Huge tailbacks are being reported as drivers face major delays following the incident and Traffic Scotland have advised road users to find a different route.
Eyewitnesses have also reported lengthy delays near Eaglesham Moor.
There has been no update on when the road will reopen.
