Botanic Gardens ferris wheel offers amazing views Belfast

If you're taking a stroll through Belfast's Botanic Gardens in the coming months, why not take in some spectacular views from the Panoramic Viewing Wheel?

The 33-metre wheel is located in the lawn area adjacent to the park's Tropical Ravine, and will be in place from July 3 to September 26.

It will be open daily from 12 noon until 30 minutes before the park closes, and access to the wheel is available through all park gates.

The family-friendly attraction is being operated by the Panoramic Wheel Company with Covid secure safety measures in place, to ensure you can enjoy yourself without worrying.

To use the wheel, you will need to pay a charge to the operator:

  • £14 for family ticket
  • £4.50 per adult
  • £3.50 per junior (under 1.5m)
  • £4 per student (on production of valid 3rd level student identity card)

The wheel was already set to appear at Botanic Gardens from September 5 - 27, but last month Belfast City Council gave it the go-ahead to be up and running from this week instead.

The machine at Botanic is 90ft less than the wheel which sat for years beside City Hall.

A similar panoramic viewing wheel, operated by G Force Amusement, operated in the park in September 2020.
