Boston Manor station: Person dies after being hit by Piccadilly line train

A person has died after being hit by a Piccadilly line train at a west London station.

Emergency services were called to Boston Manor station just before 8am.

Ambulances, fire trucks and police cars were all seen at the station, and trains were temporarily suspended. The service is now running, but with severe delays.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today at 7.44am to reports that a person had been struck by a train at Boston Manor station.

"We dispatched a number of resources to the scene including two ambulances, our hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer. We also sent London's Air Ambulance.

"Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene."

According to British Transport Police the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
