The Boston Celtics are now firmly ensconced within the Disney NBA campus popularly called a ‘bubble,’ and have begun sharing images and videos of the place they will all be calling home until the end of the first round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs — if not longer.
The team made the trip from Boston on Wednesday afternoon after saying their respective goodbyes to family and friends, bringing what creature comforts with them that they could fit given the limited space they’ll have in their hotel rooms.
The general mood being conveyed by the players has been positive, with Celtics sharing images and videos of the food from their hosts at Disney.
Boston big man Enes Kanter began with a not-super-enthusiastic review of his room:
As well as the meal that was awaiting him on arrival:
Shooting guard Jaylen Brown evidently has a portable hyperbaric sleeping chamber in his hotel room:

While forward Jayson Tatum also shared an image of his inaugural meal in the bubble, though this was evidently brought with him from home.
Rookie center Vincent Poirier quickly got his gaming set-up ready for action:
As did fellow gamer Semi Ojeleye:
The next morning, Kanter shared what he’d been brought for breakfast:
He also showed how the food was being delivered with a full array of PPE worn by Disney staff.
By the next morning, it seems Poirier was making additional use of his monitor to study up and take in some film of old Boston games:
And all the while, the Disney staff has been getting things in order for the bubble to spring into action once teams finish their quarantine periods:
It looks as if the Celtics are settled into their short-term homes, with little to do but wait until they get the go-ahead to come out of their self-isolation.
With the first scrimmage game scheduled Friday, July 24th, they have about two weeks to finish getting into game shape before opposing teams will test their post-hiatus mettle.
And for basketball fans everywhere as much as these players in the bubble, that day can’t come soon enough.
